Flower Funky is a sustainable fashion business specialising in handmade and upcycled clothes and accessories.
Tell us about your business and how it started.
Over the years I've worked in hospitality then became a florist working on weddings and large events in Oxford and Brighton. I also worked for a milliner sewing hat brims this is where I learnt to make brooches. From this experience, I started making fabric flower brooches and beautiful dried flower wreaths which I started selling on market stalls. Vintage clothing has always been a huge passion of mine and upcycling clothing, I soon introduced both of these to my market stall and Flower Funky was born. I did a few pop-ups in Lock29 with customised jackets wreaths and brooches when the unit came up for rent.
