Colourful Fudge is a Fundraising Success

World of Fudge and Sweets based in Lock29 has raised a very sweet £150 for the NHS, thanks to a rather special fudge and the generosity of its customers.

Owner Peter first came up with the idea during Covid, to honour the NHS by selling a rainbow fudge, and not one to let a good idea go by, he bought it back again a few months ago to mark the 75th anniversary of the NHS.

Peter said: “The rainbow became an official logo for the NHS during the pandemic, so it seemed like a no brainer to create a colourful rainbow fudge.  Then in July we started selling it again to mark the 75th anniversary.  Customers loved the idea on both occasions, and we’re really pleased we could do our bit and raise some money in the process.”

World of Fudge and Sweets parent company, Jane Elizabeth Confectionary, has been making and suppling handmade fudge and toffee since 1989 and were the very first tenant at Lock29.
